How to factory reset Cisco UCS, Reset Admin\/Manager Password, KVM or VMWare image.<\/p>\n

Factory Reset Cisco UCS<\/span><\/h3>\n

Connect your device through console port and run the following commands.<\/p>\n

UCS-A# connect local-mgmt<\/strong>
\n UCS-A(local-mgmt)# erase configuration<\/strong>
\nAll UCS configurations will be erased and system will reboot. Are you sure? (yes\/no): yes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now the device will be rebooted in factory default mode.<\/p>\n

Reset UCS Manager\/Admin Password<\/span><\/h3>\n

1. Connect your device through console port<\/p>\n

2. Power cycle the fabric interconnect<\/p>\n

3. Run any one of the following command in the console to load the boot loader
\n(You may need to enter multiple times while booting)
\nCtrl+l<\/strong>
\n Ctrl+Shift+r<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Boot the kernel firmware version on the fabric interconnect.<\/p>\n

loader >
\nboot \/installables\/switch\/kernel_firmware_version<\/p>\n

5. Enter config terminal mode.<\/p>\n

6. Enter the following command to reset the admin password.<\/p>\n

Fabric(boot)(config)# admin-password your-password<\/strong><\/p>\n
