If you forget the Joomla 2.5 or 3 Admin password, you can reset it in MySql Database by using PhpMyAdmin or command line.
\nThis procedure can be used in Godaddy CPanel hosting also.<\/p>\n

Reset Joomla Admin Password in PhpMyAdmin<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Login to your PhpMyAdmin<\/strong>(From CPanel or from your WebServer),<\/li>\n
  2. In the PhpMyAdmin tool, Select your Joomla Database.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. There you can find all the table names prefixed with some letters (hl2rx_).<\/li>\n
  4. In that Select the xxxxx_users<\/strong> table.<\/li>\n
  5. Click browse<\/strong>, this will show all the user names.<\/li>\n
  6. Now in the Super Administrator or Super User click on “pencil button<\/strong>”\u00a0 to edit the value.<\/li>\n
  7. Now in the password field Select MD5<\/strong> function form the downtown and enter your new_password<\/strong> in the value field as shown below.<\/li>\n
  8. \u00a0Now click Go<\/strong> button to Save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Login to your MySql Database.
      \n# mysql -u root -p<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Select the Joomla Database
      \nmysql> USE joomla_db;<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Run the following command to change the password.
      \nmysql> UPDATE `xxxx_users` SET `password` = MD5( \u2018new_password\u2019 ) WHERE `xxxx_users`.`username` = \u201cadministrator\u201d ;<\/strong><\/li>\n
